THEN AND NOW
Next in our father to father line we introduce the Sons of
Ted and Hilda.
Tony, Derek, Roy, and Ivan.
We also show some great photographs to display a Then and
Now page of pictures.
An interesting point to make at this stage is that two
brothers: Derek and Roy, married two Sisters: Pauline and
Linda nee Wilkin.
Interestingly we know this has happened once before in the
family for definite and we are investigating a possible
third time too.
This is where family research becomes quite complicated.
We start with these very rare photographs of all four of Ted
and Hilda's sons together. Click on each image to

Sadly Tony passed away in 1983 aged 43.

DEREK MELTON
Derek was born in Norwich on the 20th July 1942.
The Second Son of Ted and Hilda, Derek has lived all his life in
Norwich just like his Brothers also.
Derek married Pauline Wilkin on 27th July 1963.
Derek and
Pauline have two Sons Carl (me) and Paul.

The Photograph above was recently the subject of an article in the
Norwich Evening News.
The article was submitted to the Newspaper by
myself and was about the old
Maypole dairy Stores that was situated
on Gentlemans Walk in Norwich
The Maypole has since long gone but it was the first ever self
service store in Norwich and was Derek's first employment.
Look to the far right of the photograph, see the handsome chap
standing?
