The Competition.

In 2007 there was no prizes for the best photographs that were sent in to us. This was mainly  due to it being a family run website and who was going to do the judging without showing any bias towards any one photograph or the family that sent it in?

2008 will change, we will be running a competition throughout 2008 for the best photograph sent into us in the year. There will be no category, it will simply be the best Photo sent into us in this year.

The Judging.

The judging will be done by a completely unbiased judge or judges that have nothing to do with our website.

 

Ten of the best photographs will be chosen and then submitted for our judges to pick the best one from. To prove no bias, no photographs taken by Shelle or Myself will be entered into the competition.

No photograph will be submitted for final voting with details of who took it or where and when, this will give the judge no advantage when deciding the best one.

The Prize

The sender of the Photograph judged and voted as the best one sent into us here at MFWP will receive a Christmas food hamper.

The results will be announced in the week leading up to Christmas 2008. The final ten up for judging will be shown on the web site prior to the final announcement of the winning photograph.

Users of our site will also be given a chance to vote on the final ten but only one vote from each person will be accepted and the result from the online poll will not be given to our judge and will not sway his/her decision.

 

Rules

All photographs to be judged must have been submitted to MFWP.
The photograph must be one taken in 2008.
Any Photograph previously submitted to us prior to 2008 will not be eligible.
There is no age restrictions of the sender/taker for any photograph submitted.
The photograph must show at least one family member present.
landscape or scenery pictures will not be eligible.
We will accept photographs of family pets (they are of course part of your family)
There is no size limitation of the Photograph.
Any photographed deemed to have been artificially enhanced by computer software of any kind will be disqualified. Although we will accept pictures that have been cropped to size or that have had distracting subject cut from the main photograph.
photographs must be clear and viewable. (no blurring)
All Photographs must have been taken by a family member (No Professionals please)
The final prize winner will be the person who took the photograph and not the person or person's in the photograph.

The Winner will be announced and presented with the prize at this years Christmas Party.
